Ascent Along the Way
The Tower is a mighty screw-shaped edifice roughly ten miles in diameter around which each Layer is situated. It is composed of an unnatural black material that cannot be cut, scraped, or otherwise defaced. It is infinitely tall, and pierces every Layer along The Way. While the Tower does not always have the same outward appearance on every Layer, it does always have at least one Portal at the “ground” level of each Layer, and it always has at least one way for a pilgrim to pass through the floor of one Layer into the next.
Dangers in the Tower
The Tower plays host to a wide array of tremendous dangers
Because gravity is always pointing the same direction, it is always easier to descend the Tower than it is to Ascend.
